First, in this program, a summary of Iranian architecture’s developments from 7th to 17th century CE is presented and then, the Isfahan architecture and urban planning style are investigated which started during the Safavid era and reached its apex during the 17th and 18th centuries CE. Isfahan school in architecture and urban planning during this period is the result of the experiences of earlier periods which has reached its maximum prosperity and creativity. In this program, we attempt to investigate various aspects of thinking in architecture and urban planning in this period and to investigate various parts of this school of thought in historical buildings and landscapes.
