The tradition of Iranian architecture, which was moved forward alongside the most advanced civilizations of the world, was one of the great achievements and a number of contemporary Iranian architectures, especially from the 1960s onwards, attempted to combine this tradition with the contemporary achievements of world architecture and define a modern Iranian architecture along with the glorious architecture of the past.
These attempts were in line with theories such as contextualism and regionalism in the world which connected contemporary Iranian architecture to the world. This program will investigate the history of Iranian architecture and introduces the audience to concepts sought by architects in their works and finally evaluates a number of iconic works from this period.
